It’s extremely important. Moving into a clean space sets the tone for everything. It gives clients peace of mind and allows them to settle in comfortably without having to worry about deep cleaning afterward.

Have you seen situations where skipping this step caused issues for the client?

Yes, many times. Clients move in thinking they’ll clean later, but once furniture is in place, it becomes much harder. It adds stress and delays that “settled in” feeling everyone wants after a move.

From your perspective, when is the best time to schedule move-out and move-in cleaning?

Ideally, move-out cleaning should happen immediately after everything is removed, and move-in cleaning should be scheduled before any furniture arrives. That timing makes the biggest difference in efficiency and results.

A home may be empty… but that doesn’t mean it’s truly ready. Before furniture is placed, before routines begin, there’s a small window to prepare the space properly. This is where a structured move-in or move-out cleaning makes a noticeable difference. Not just visually, but in how the home feels from the very first day.

Do you feel cleaning services should be part of every moving plan? Why?

Absolutely. It’s one of those things that makes a huge impact but is often underestimated. Including cleaning as part of the moving plan helps create a seamless transition and reduces stress for the client.

Also, try to schedule your move during less congested times if possible—weekday moves are usually much smoother in this area compared to weekends.
